Majestic Contest.

Want a new contest. Here are two.

First is the Greatest Fear Contest.
Write a short story showing your greatest fear and what would happen if it were realized. i'm not interested in perfect grammer. But if it isn't atleast 'good' it will annoy me. Spelling isn't an issue either. I am more interested in the story line and the rhythem of the thing. It has to flow. If it doesn't, then it's a loss. Again, good grammer, good spelling, bad ass storytelling. The Quill and I have had a writing crew on Facebook for a while. This was an exercise that we had. It has had some really interesting outcomes. And peoples muses are working over time.
What will you win?
Three month sub. One prize, thats all. One winner. Majestic Contests have not had that many entries in the past.

Second.
Draw your ideal Comic Book Super Team.
I don't care who you use. I don't care if you put Spawn and Batman in the group. Or Captain America and Hellboy. Or Lion-O and Wolverine. I don't care if you change the way they look either. But they do have to be recognizable. I have to be able to look at them and know who they are.
Prize?
Three Month Sub. One prize, thats all.

Have fun, and may your muses work overtime.

50 designs done for Insanities Muse. working on finishing them and putting it all together. Doing all the sketching, inking, coloring, resizing and all that other crap. Insanities Muse is going strong.
The Quill will be coming out with a book in the next year or so. I am also designing that. Cover, pages and all that other crap. Running it by my best friend. He tells me if he likes it and we will put it all together after. The book will be made by two writers. Myself and :iconunbornfilter:. I have my stuff almost ready. Just have to put them in the template i designed in order to see how it looks. Wanna read something i wrote? it's all in my facebook profile. Search for Richard Padilla. I'm there. All that stuff will be taken down when the book is in it's final phase. I'm also going to start a group on facebook to have virtual poetry readings. So if you have a webcam, are on facebook, drop me a line.

To everyone who entered the Critique Contest thanks for reading. this contest was made to remind people that there are stories out there. and i hope that the people that entered didn't only read mine. the winner?
:iconnintendosagekittygrl: the girl with the long name that makes no sense. which i like. showed me where i have to check my grammar at and where i just ran off. copy and pasted some sentences with care and corrected me where i needed it. it's what i wanted. she also got that number 1 through 5 could do pretty much whatever they could.

new contests.
:iconshadowed-light-waves: gave me an idea for a new contest. i love giving out subs. since i started :iconmajesticcontests: I have given out a total of four subs. that i remember.

:iconchicoritango: 3 month after winning the InnerEgo Contest
:icontymi16: 1 Month after getting second in the InnerEgo Contest
:iconk-sajid: Just for being an all around nice guy
:iconnintendosagekittygrl: Just won the Critique Contest. She will get hers tomorrow.

I'm pretty sure i missed someone but hey. So the new contest, not even a contest really. i'm going to hit the random deviant button that exist somewhere on deviantart. when i see someones art that is just awesome, pure awesomeness, They will get a sub. One month. I will do this every two weeks for as long as i can. Only thing they will get is a note from me that will say "congrats, you've been subbed by Majestic Contests"
And no, i'm not doing this for pageviews. i'm doing it because i genuinely like giving out subs. how do you enter? you already did. your a deviant, aren't you? there really is no way to control the random deviant button that i can think of apart from hacking the system, but if you hack da you get banned. :iconsneakytomato: can tell you a story about someone hacking the system and getting banned. there will be other contests. they will be posted on :iconmajesticcontests: from now on. it's getting to the point where i forget that i made that account for that reason.

and furthermore. [link]

That was my singing voice.

ok, so the contest is on and stuff. more on that later.

If you want to check out a bad ass site, go to [link] seriously. you will thank me. if you like music and movies check out Mike Relm. No links either. you can copy paste. the mouse is there, copy it and paste it in youtube. Mike relm is a turntabalist who controls the music and the scenes behind him. and keeping with the music theme go to [link] Reggae rock. awesome dude.
as far as Insanities Muse i have a couple of designs in mind. a couple of them are bad ass, others are just targeted towards friends at work. one of them is 'king of the double shift' which i have drawn out already and i'm going to upload it later. theres also a poster i'm working on for work which will kick ass. i'm taking pictures of people at work and i'm going to put the caption 'cheney night crew, cleaning everyone elses messes from 4 to 10'. the place i work at is called cheney. anything else i'm working on is secret. the previews will be shown here, the link given to the shirt. and cafe press also has this thing where they print your designs on thongs. so i'm making an image of my face with the caption 'i'll lick that' on it. yes. i prolly will too. and now for the commercial break.

[link]

you may have noticed, no css. ahhh, my dimensions suck. the pic is either to big or too small for my writing. so i'll keep it out until i can figure it out.
and now for the contest. the submissions will be kept secret. but here are the people who have joined.

:iconnintendosagekittygrl: yeah, i said that name five times fast and it hurt my head.

ok what the fuck happened to what was supposed to take the place of the world trade center? wasn't the ground breaking ceremony about 3 years ago? and still nothing? what is that? i know that they don't want to make a wrong decision with the planning process because they are scared to offend the survivors and the family members of the people that have died but shit! as long as you make a space for people to remember they're loved ones everything is fine. seriously. all that stuff that accumulated on the fence there, that i visited during the ground breaking ceremony, that i looked at, where i teared up and actually cried at, if they take all that stuff and put it in a room framed and labeled, people will be fine. NO trees do not represent life. people don't need trees. people need a monument. no they don't need a reflective pool or a tower to takes it's place. we don't need a show that shows (ha) what happened in that day. we have seen the footage and heard the stories and what not. HISTORY CHANNEL CAN KISS MY ASS AND SO CAN THE GUY WHO MADE THE MOVIE. i love history channel but shit, people have to stop making shows, radio programs, merchandise about 9-11. stop whoring out the day that thousands of people died on for profit or ratings. the fact that oliver stone didn't give all the money he made with his movie to the 9/11 fund or whatever it's called shows that for a fact.
that day changed my hometown. and it's time to move on. we cannot do that until people stop using that day to make money. we want to move on, no we will never forget so leave us alone. or at least me.

there you have it. thats the news for now. check you later.

Ok, Contest time.

Ok, let's face it, getting people to read your writing here is like pulling teeth. Seriously. I have put stuff in here to get helpful criticism. I want to get better at writing. A lot better. I put my stuff on here and am disappointed that, even when i whore it out on every single thumbshare post in the forum i get views but no helpful criticism. Some people here look at a short story and just can't be bothered with reading it. Or they read some of it and move on. So this is what I'm going to do. I'm going to hold a contest. 2 weeks long. The person to give the best criticism on my story... or part of story that is up, will get a month sub. A month long sub for doing what this site was meant to be about, looking through something and leaving comments. Normally, i wouldn't care. But for this particular story i want to make it as good as possible. Truth is that i am working on a short story book along with a couple of my other friends and this story is going to be my first one, my opening. This will be the story that pretty much says "hey, i'm here!" I don't trust myself to be my own 'editor' on this story. Now, let me explain a little further. I am not looking for someone to say "dude! that was awesome!" or "dude! you fucking suck!" I need helpful criticism. Who ever gives me the most help gets a one month sub. There's a bonus to it also. That same person gets a month sub added on to the one they already won for leaving helpful criticism on any other of my poems and stories. They will also be featured for as long as i'm giving them the sub. And there are a lot to choose from. Entries should be given in note form, none are to be posted on the comments thing at all because i don't want anyone to claim that someone stole their ideas. I think that's fair.
I'll be the only judge.
This is why i miss English class in school. Helpful criticism. Can't believe i miss English class.

The story is called They Came At Night.
It starts out with a group of soldiers breaking into a families house in order to kidnap someone. The soldiers are looking for specific people. I need criticism on the beginning... what i posted. The rest of the story will be posted at a later date.

Anyone can enter. But i would prefer it if a fellow writer would do it. There you go, win a one month sub plus bonuses for reading and commenting. if anyone enters, i'll see you in two weeks.
